Private piano lessons are available for all ages, including young children. Players of all experience levels are welcome, including absolute beginners. All lessons are piano-based, but student interest will determine the focus and trajectory of study. The pupil who wants to learn traditional pianistic skill and classical repertoire will have a different curriculum from the one wishing to be a singer who can cover any popular song with ease. Some students yearn to comprehend music theory, while others are more geared towards playing their favorite songs purely for enjoyment. Still others are be fascinated by topics such as digital music production, songwriting, music history, or general creativity. Very young students often enjoy learning simple versions of songs they know from movies. An older or more independent student might thrive on receiving many information-rich tools that they can practice later on their own. And the list goes on!
Studio Lessons are offered at our teaching studio in the South Lake Union neighborhood of Seattle, Washington.
Online Lessons are available for students from other areas and offered on major video-conferencing platforms.
Drop-in Lessons/Consultations are offered to experienced students want to take lessons on an infrequent basis or receive consultation lessons for focusing on particular goals, such as troubleshooting a piece or learning a specific musical skill. Drop-ins are also offered for students who only want to learn a specific song.
Transcriptions/Arrangements of virtually any song are available separately from normal lessons and at all skill levels. For a price quote, please send an email with the details of your request.
Intensive Packages are information-dense, extended private seminars for students who wish to receive a comprehensive set of tools they can practice on their own, or students who want an intensive immersion in the subject. Intensive tutorial subjects may also be requested by the student and if available I will propose a curriculum and materials.
